dog adoption mauritius A3800056 Mekoh | Shih Tzu

A3800056 Mekoh is a show-stopping, 12-year-old white-and-gray neutered male Shih Tzu whose owner surrendered him on March 26th to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center without giving a reason. Weighing 9 lbs, Mekoh is the exemplary Shih Tzu—made to be a lap dog, to keep his tail wagging to bring everyone joy, and to be the baby in someone’s life. He is a volunteer favorite at the shelter, an “A+” dog (as his handler said), a dog that has it all. He walks perfectly on leash, shows signs of being house trained, has a medium-to-low energy, loves other dogs and shows it by greeting them properly (including a good tail wag). He came to the shelter pretty messy, and in getting his matts shaved and cut, Mekoh sustained a nick (accidental!) behind his left ear. It’s being treated and is healing well. He also has one cloudy eye—one of those lovable bluish googly-eye globes! We think that with a spa day and hair regrowth, he’ll be a perfect example of his lovable breed and will make a perfect indoor pet and companion for a discerning individual or family.
